Strategising Ocean Observation
This project envisions and plans for the future of fishing, during which extensive research was conducted on the factors and stakeholders affecting conventional fishing practices, focusing on their sustainability and impacts on marine ecosystems.
This included studies on the maximum sustainable yield (MSY) of fish stocks, assessments of bycatch and habitat destruction, evaluations of fishing gear and methods, and investigations into the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of fishing activities, all aimed at informing sustainable fisheries management practices.
